Orienteering race 43:06 [3] 7.2 km (5:59 / km)

Wildflower Drive. No energy in the second half. Struggled to run in anything resembling a straight line

Riding- Road 51:30 [3] 20.7 km (2:29 / km)

First ride in a very long time. Tried to escape the cold by heading west, but failed. Few short walks in the Grampians, then a short loop on the bike. Nice and quiet during the week, but it might not be so good on a long weekend. Took a while to find the climbing legs again, but at least a 7km climb warmed be up.

Orienteering race 50:37 [4] 9.1 km (5:34 / km)

Vic Relay Champs. First leg. Struggled to get into the map, and lost a bit of time on the way to 1. Alright after that, but started to tire on the way to 8. Bit surprised to see Freddy running in the opposite direction here, especially when he got back in front of me at 13. Really struggled from 14 onwards, but managed to keep it mostly together, but almost got caught out by fences a few times.

Good to have a reasonable run after the last few weekends, and nice to come away with the win, thanks to James and Toph.

Orienteering race 1:16:04 [5] 7.5 km (10:09 / km) +310m 8:24 / km

Aus Relay Champs. Lost it on the first leg again, this time getting into the circle easily, but then not seeing the control, and convincing myself I had stuffed up. Then proceeded to waste time trying to relocate on the side of the hill. Bit wobbly at 2, and lost more time at 3 through climbing well above the control. Ran right past 8, and wasted another couple of minutes. Seemed to get it together from then on, with no more major errors.

Orienteering race 47:14 [4] 5.0 km (9:27 / km) +240m 7:37 / km

Aus Middle Distance Champs. Completely stuffed the first two controls, as was caught by Blair who started 4 minutes behind me. Luckily Nick Hann also came through, and I was able to use his pace to get a gap on Blair. Climbed much too high at 17 (almost as high as 18).

Up onto the ridge and along from a camping ground near Adaminaby. Very nice running along the nice and open undulating ridge.
