Orienteering race 1:34:35 [5] 11.2 km (8:27 / km) +430m 7:05 / km

NOL long at Kangaroo Crossing. A couple of very sketchy moments on the way to 1, and probably lost a bit of time through multiple hesitations and detours up onto the rocky slope. Very careful for the next few, and hit them well. Got caught by a bit of a pack at 10, but it split up a little on the track to 11. Happy to get caught by Simon et al. at 14 as this pulled me through the last fast part of the course.

NOL Middle distance at Rowdy Flat. An absolute mess of a course. Very happy to be caught by Parto to keep me on track a bit.

Had to do a quick trip up to Maldon to check out a few things for the event in April as I don't think I will have another free weekend to get up there.

Hopefully got some good classic style courses with a few longer legs.

Run down the mountain. Didn't push too hard, but not quite as rocky and technical as I expected.

Back up. Could have done much better on this. Started out alright, but lost a bit of momentum and impetus once I started to catch a few people. Lack of fitness didn't help either.

Very ordinary race. Riddled with some stupid mistakes and poor route choice.

Run race 1:10:29 [4] 13.0 km (5:25 / km)

Got roped into doing the night run by Rob. Good to start off with a bit of daylight. Lovely run out to St Gwinear. Ended up in a bit or a race with Craig for the first part after he absolutely smashed me on a longish downhill section. Took a lot of effort uphills to catch back up and make sure I had enough of a gap to hold him off on the last downhill

Easy run up to the summit of Baw Baw. Got led down a very overgrown track on the way back.
