Had to set up the course so I was up at 4:30am...by 10 my legs were crampy and I was pretty sleepy. But i received free entry so I decided to race for fun. Lined up in the 2nd row and had a great start, hooked my bar on a course marker and ate it big time. I waited for the group to go around me then got back on and passed everyone up again. I held my position until the last 200m when someone passed. I had to sprint like a madwoman to pass her again...within 2 feet of the finish like. Tee hee. 4th/28.

First race of the year. Amazing holeshot and lead the first lap...till the pro mtb'r passed me, then two sandbaggers. So I am happy with a 4th place finish. Most of the pack was lapped so I'm happy I was able to finish the whole race.
