I think its time for my annual holiday illness. I am definitely coming down wih something. Mom and Dad in town so workouts aren't a high priority. However I am itching to go out snowshowing and xc skiing!!

Had knee looked at briefly this week. Doc said there's a lot of fluid inside so I'm getting a scan after the holidays.

No time for a workout today. I won't accomplish much in the next 2 weeks- both sets of parents are visiting for a week at a time. Hopefully I can get outside once in a while, at least to keep the weight down. With both moms cooking for us that'll be tough!

Too much holiday cheer and not enough sleep left me tired for today's race. Hung on 1st place's wheel for 2 laps but she gunned it at the end. 2nd place was fine with me- I was expecting to get 5th or something. I am SO glad the season is over- time to start enjoying other activities :) Time estimated.

I'm starting to think ahead to Sunday's race. I think it'll be the same course as last time, just reversed. The whole valley's going to be a total mudpit- I might have to go out and buy some new tires for this. I'm pretty burned out and glad that it's the last race of the year. I am particularly stressed because of my win last week...I feel a lot of pressure (self imposed) to try for a repeat. A win means I'll have enough points to upgrade :) In reality I should be happy with top 3 or 5 because this course does not match my skills. *sigh*

I think I'm taking today off. No sleep due to winds rattling the house all last night. Plus my L knee is hurting and feels a bit swollen. I made an appt to get it looked at, since I will be ramping up my mileage once 'cross season is over. I keep forgetting that MTB races are like 2x longer than cross ones.

Rode the iron horse trail for a change of pace. Really cold and windy. Had to stop when we hit consistent snow...my cross tires couldn't track through it very well.

On demand yoga with abs. Felt good to stretch out.
