3 whole laps of the Nationals course. It was really treacherous and I wanted to make sure I was comfortable on some of the techy stuff. Also 15 min on the trainer.
Cross race (Cyclocross nationals) 50:00 [5]
US cyclocross national championships. Nasty course- ice and snow with a lot of hairpin turns and off camber stuff. The whole day was a "cluster" but to name a few things: forgot my inhaler, leg warmers wouldn't stay up and i was overdressed. There was carnage everywhere. I crashed twice really hard on my right side, toppled over a couple times and had a few near misses. It was a fun and humbling experience though. I met my goal which was not to get lapped. Overall I was 31/45 which is right where i expected to be.
