Event: Tiomila 2008
 

Orienteering race 36:59 [5] 5.2 km (7:07 / km)

So finally the big day. Ran 3rd for our 4th team, I had a reasonably good run. Caught up almost 30 places. Unfortunatley lost around 1min on the second last control, just missed it not reading the map properly and had to go back. Really fast race, not much navigating involved. Overtook our 3rd team which was satisfying.

Team came 70th. We were the first 4th team! Stayed up all night watching the guys and have been sleeping all day. It was all just so amazing. Definitley coming back to run this one again. Exceeded all my expectations. CanĀ“t wait for jukola now.

Orienteering intervals (tio training) 30:00 [5]

Relay training for tio. In partners. First person did a loop then swapped over. Really fun training, so many ppl and beautiful weather.

Looks i will be running 3rd on saturday. 5km and no split controls! Should be fun.

Got my new SI stick today. Just in time for tio. I am tres excited.

Went to the uni gym with hanna. No one checks if you have a card so it is free for me. Think I might become a regular actually. Fairly sure that tomorrow i am going to have sore muscles as im not used to doing strength.

Orienteering race (stigtomtkavlen) 1:02:34 [5] 7.0 km (8:56 / km)

Beautiful day today. Not such a great run though. Stopped short at the first one, the next few were okay but after that i lost a fair bit of time in the control circles. Also legs were very heavy and felt quite tired.
