Saturday Feb 4

Swimming 1:00:00 [2]
Easy swim in Trellis Bay, still waiting for Henrik and Mattias (delayed a day because of flight problems leaving Stockholm). But Katta and Annika are here and so is our luggage, so things are looking up.

Friday Feb 3

Running 10:00 [3]
And again the demons of travel are against us - just caught a flight but no bags, and waaaayyyyy late getting to the boat. And running on the hilly, twisty, narrow, shoulderless roads of Tortola (which are populated by slightly insane drivers) after dark is a definite no-no. So the 10 minutes has to suffice.

Thursday Feb 2

Strength 25:00 [3]
Sigh. Late flights = no chance to train at hotel, beyond some strength training. But BVI, here we come!

Wednesday Feb 1

Indoor cycling 45:00 [3]
Moderate spinning on the trainer, Katta on the mill.
C • You should get Katta to start ... 1
Running 1:26:00 [3]
Some fartlek on the mill, with yet another 80's classic, "Can't Buy Me Love" - oh the early Patrick Dempsey....

"Nerds, jocks. My side, your side. It's all bulls@#t. It's hard enough just trying to be yourself."

Strength 16:00 [3]
Core, arms, legs - the usual.

Tuesday Jan 31

Indoor cycling 1:15:00 [2]
A little spinning to John Cusack's High Fidelity (a little less "fun" than the older stuff but still interesting, thanks to Hornby's storyline), while Katta ran the mill.
C • One of my favourite books, I'v... 10
Running 45:00 [3]
And some mill running of my own to keep things semi-balanced (starting to let running slip well below the 50% share of my total...).
Strength 15:00 [3]
Yeah, the usual.

Monday Jan 30

Running 1:04:00 [2]
Not too tough of a run on the mill.
Strength 15:00 [3]
Usual stuff. 'Nuff said.
Note
This was a helluva day. On call x24 hrs, culminating in an emergency medical evacuation to Timmins - so the time I hoped to spend training together with Katta was instead spent hunched over a stretcher in the back of a speeding ambulance, skidding our way through a snowstorm, hoping like hell we'd make it there before anything bad happened. Which we did. Made it home in time to start a workout at 11pm - so technically today's workout ended "tomorrow", but it gets logged for the 30th. Tomorrow is another day....

Sunday Jan 29

Running 1:05:00 [2]
Easy run on the mill - didn't want to ski b/c of keeping my HR down today.
Strength 20:00 [3]
The usual blend of core and arms/legs to finish it off. I think it actually works - I feel no pain today even after the first ski-skate of the year yesterday, which is a pleasant surprise!
Other Alternative Training 1:20:00 [2]
Badminton again - this time with HRM - so it's a zone 2 activity for me, at least. Maybe higher if we played more singles matches, but tonight was mostly doubles.
