Core Workout 1:00:00 [5]

Road Ride 30:00 [2]

Another bike fail!?! I flatted about 1.5k into what was going to be a nice evening ride to the dam and back. My pump is good for a MTB and for road bike emergencies and as I was alone and only had the one tube, I pulled the pin and called it a day. Ugh...I'm sure good karma is coming my way tomorrow

Trail Run 2:00:00 [3]
shoes: S-LAB WINGS SG 2nd Pair

We headed to the Sunshine Coast to have a family camping weekend mixed with some running and riding. Of course I forgot Leanne's sleeping bag so as the gentleman that I am, I took one for the team. Truth be told, her sleeping bag wasn't with all of the others so I'm pretty much innocent in the whole debacle. The 'fails' continued when I went to hit up the MTB trails. My rear wheel wouldn't turn as my rear calipers ceased at some point between my commute and then. I tried my best to get it going and when I went to pick up my wheel to put it back on, the whole rear cluster just fell off. WTF? That's a new one after so many years of riding. I was slow close to chucking that ;$;),)ing bike in the woods. So off trail running I went instead.

I found a nice single track that came upon an unreal waterfall. I had to stop for a bit to investigate as it was so impressive. Onward I continued and popped out at an airport. Consulting my map, I realized I might be able to turn this into a full circle but would have to bushwhack and ford the river. If I couldn't get through, it would be 11k or so back. So of course I went for it. I found a decent little gam track that led down to the river and crossed at a safe spot. Another game track up the steep elevation and it continued in the direction I wanted. Before long it led pretty much right back to my car. Spike!

On my drive back, the largest bird I have ever seen flew over me and perched on a branch about 8m off of the ground. I stopped to check it out and as I'm no expert, I'd love to know what it was. It was eagle-like but bigger. Brown eagle?
