| Bleurgh. I seem to have contracted a perculiar variation of the manflu, where I get to feel crap without displaying any of the visible, sympathy-eliciting symptoms. Highlights so far include a night of feverish, hallucinatory shivering, followed by morning sickness. Perhaps I've been abducted and impregnated by aliens. Or perhaps it's a viral thing. Whatever. |

| As the Wombles once sang, exercise is good for you, laziness is not.
Even if you did only get three hours of sleep the previous night. |

Hilly. Very, very hilly. Lots of running up hills. I'm tired now.
Scrappy run generally: lost about three mins charging around in what turned out not to be the general vicinity of 1, made a route choice error that probably cost me about a minute, and generally a bit slow/hesitant. Shame, as the course wasn't very technically difficult - perhaps even a bit boring (it'd could have done with a control pick or two to break up all the 600m-ish legs).
I was non-comp for the CSTrophy as KERNO hadn't entered, which was a bit of a shame as I would have collected 98 points for them if they had. Silly KERNO.
Also, still need to get fit. Don't seem to have become any fitter since yesterday, which is a pity. |

| 3rd of 20 on Green - won by Nigel Bunn in 28.58
A pleasant enough bimble around one of my less favourite TVOC areas. Fairly clean, a couple of small wobbles and one running-straight-past-the-control-convinced-that-wasn't-it. Had Dave Armstrong chasing me (and in front for a bit) from 2 to 10, which made me pick up the pace a bit (and I find I tend to focus better when I know I'm running against someone).
Really feeling the lack of fitness, though - Chris M was two minutes faster than me, despite making a two-minute mistake. I think I could do with (a) doing a bit of training and (b) losing a bit of weight. Ho hum. |
