Orienteering 1:15:00 [3] 9.0 km (8:20 / km) +300m 7:09 / km
shoes: Saucony Xodous

From Rathvel to picnic spot, up to Niremont, over the top towards Goille aux Cerfs, back at end of woodchippings path and then down via la châh. Mist came down so running across the summit plateau felt like Welsh moorland and OMM training - lovely! Except I didn't hear sheep but cowbells.

Orienteering 2:04:00 [3] 38.7 km (3:12 / km)
shoes: bianchi

With Ros, up to Vauderens and back. Tried to stay in sun, but brouillard was fairly persistent on plateau. Arms and shoulders still ache - D and I are both fighting off something.

N from Chatel towards Rogivue. Brouillard was just clearing, lovely autumnal day. Felt incredibly slow - about a minute a K slower than usual. Muscles and joints feel a bit achey today so possibly either worn out or coming down with something.

Orienteering 40:00 [1]
shoes: Saucony Xodous

At Ffco training nr Kerzers. Great forest for beginners, lots of path junctions and courses were well planned to stick to paths. I ran round meeting H in various places. She made 2 errors, the first of which would have been disastrous if I hadn't caught her. On the plus side, both times she was able to relocate by herself.

Running 55:00 [3]
shoes: Saucony Xodous

Round Corbetta. Trees all turning colour, looking lovely, and forestry teams are busy chopping down trees, so it smells gorgeous. First run in rain for a long time, but only light drizzle so not too bad.

shoes: Saucony Xodous

Borbuitse long. Very slow on climb, legs and back were v stiff from the skiing and only really loosened up when I got into a hot bath on my return.

All of the cows are down from the mountains now, only the genisses left, and they'll be gone in another week. Fences are going too, and slowly the mountains are returning to the wild. Summer seems to be over very suddenly, and I'll miss the sound of the cowbells.

Roller ski 1:00:00 [3]

More roller ski, this time actually classic (Sat was skate on classic skis) with club at Grattavache school and cycle path. My technique is useless!

Then a selection of evil core strength exercises that I failed at completely.
