Thursday Jun 28

Running long 1:10:00 [2] 12.8 km (5:28 / km)
shoes: Trail New Balance
Looking at my log, I had a tendency to run too hard past months, between competitions and tempo/intervalls/threshold running. Time to get some easy running.

Sunday Jun 24

Orienteering 23:00 [4] *** 3.6 km (6:23 / km)
16c shoes: Falcon VJ
(GPS: 4km27 at 5:31/km)
Starting easy and finishing at good speed
Running warm up/down 31:00 [2] 4.6 km (6:44 / km)
shoes: Falcon VJ

Saturday Jun 23

Running (Threshold 15') 1:03:00 [3] 11.9 km (5:18 / km) +50m 5:11 / km
shoes: Cross XT Decathlon

Saturday Jun 16

Event: Jukola 2007

Orienteering 30:00 [2] ****
shoes: Falcon VJ
Easy running on the training map near Jukola site, a few hours before the mass start.
Orienteering race (Relay) 1:44:00 [5] **** 10.3 km (10:06 / km) +200m 9:12 / km
25c shoes: Falcon VJ
Jukola mass start for Breizh Team 628. A very special kind of orienteering, where you follow people along straight lines between controls, and try to relocate as fast as possible when it's not your control.

A bit disappointed by my race and this style of o, but will do better next time, now that I know how to perform. Still the race overall and the atmosphere was great, very special with a clear night.

Friday Jun 15

Orienteering 1:00:00 [4] *****
20c shoes: Falcon VJ
Not sure about the time, the number of controls, and even less the distance.

3 technical loops on a map near Vaasa, to try to get a feeling of finn' terrain and maps. Simply astounding: maps are very simplified to keep some lisibility, there are rocks and micro contours everywhere, very difficult.

We also had some nice photo/video shoots, which should provide enough materials for future clips.

Wednesday Jun 13

Running warm up/down 35:00 [2]
shoes: Cross XT Decathlon

Sunday Jun 10

Orienteering race 1:50:25 [5] *** 13.1 km (8:26 / km)
26c shoes: Falcon VJ
GPS: 17.5km and 100m (6:17/km)

Demi-Finale NO, Baugé (49). Long run with, unfortunaltely, lots of trail choice. But I also lack some endurance for such a long run.

Update: it seems the scale was wrong and it was more like 1/12500e instead of 1/10000e - which should give us ~16.4km at 6"45/km

Wednesday Jun 6

Night Running intervals (MAS 30) 50:00 [4] 8 km (6:15 / km) +200m 5:33 / km
shoes: Trail New Balance
Starting with a good warming of 30', up and down on single tracks by the headlamp, was fun. Then 10x30" at 90% MAS (still difficult to be confident at full speed when running with the headlamp)

Sunday Jun 3

Orienteering long (Night) 1:08:00 [2] *** 7.3 km (9:19 / km)
shoes: Falcon VJ
Trying a long distance with the headlamp. Stop and come back after 1/3 of the course, because the map was so outdated and the vegetation so ugly it was no fun anymore
