So clearly I'm not made for road running. I pick a realistic target (17:30), which should be doable based on my best 10k and HM times (when I was in worse shape) and I can't get within a minute of.
There are excuses I could make, but I think I'll just accept the pissweakness of it and go back to running up hills and in non straight lines.
I did pace it OK in that I was passing people constantly after the first 1k, but still feel I should have gone slower at the start. Meh.

Good warm up with some strides thrown in the middle. Feeling OK, the HR was a little high - putting in down to the heat.
