Easy loop with training group. Up into Mt Vic then down into Newtown, cut short to run via basin and home as legs a bit sore from weekend.

ChCh Half Marathon:

A bit disappointing as thought I could so a bit faster after making a good effort at training over the last three months.

Anyway race started well and found a good spot and pace straight away. Lots of faster people got away in first pack. Felt pace was ok but prob lost about 2 mins in last 5km, compared what would like to do. Last part around Hadley Park was a misson and struggled big time. Will try another half perhaps Auckland in November. Think I prob lost a fairbit of endurance in the last 3 weeks after being sick then injured.

Good loop from pool. Into Thorndon, Kelburn, Aro Valley then back home. Legs a little tired and prob still be bit strained. Not sure if rest or run tomorrow see how I feel in the morning.

Easy run, just seeing if legs have recovered. Felt pretty good and no pain. Just Along Oriental to kill time then with other guys from 5.30 at the pool.
