am: Standard run. Quite stiff and sore at start so took it pretty slowly for the first 4 or 5 km. Soreness seems to be mainly in the hamstring belly rather than the tendons. Not sure why they should be sore, but at least its not the injury that's complaining.

am: Nice long ride :) Perfect day for it - cool and no wind. Down to Applecross then Canning River to Gosnells, and the back way to Kelmscott. Followed the Brookton Hwy for a little bit before turning around. Felt pretty good until just before the 100k mark. Quite pleased with that.

aM: Standard run. Piriformis was a bit sore at bthe start. Warmed up a bit. Everything went OK but have the feeling that this is as much as I can safely do for the moment. No chance of increasing the distance just yet :(

am: Was going to do the standard 6.9k run but was forced to abort a couple of k from the end because my right calf tightened up badly - that nasty cramp-like feeling you get when you've torn something. Possibly just a very small tear (or two). Stopped running as a precaution.

am: Guildford - Windan loop. Very stop-start this morning. And very wet :)Got held up several times by idiot motorists and parked cars blocking the path. Bike computer also decided to play silly buggers and showed wild variations in speed. Distance just taken from other times I've done this ride. Not sure if it needs a new battery or it got affected by the rain.

am: Same run as last time. A little stiff in the hammies and piriformis at the start. Warmed up OK though. All seems to be going well so it's now time to think about adding a bit more. Cautiously of course!

am: Same run as Thurs. A bit faster this time, despite the fact it was a morning run. Some slight tightness/stiffness in upper hammies and piriformis but seemed to warm-up OK.

am: Long one. To Guildford, then west Swan Rd, Gnangarra Rd, out to the coast, down to City Beach, then Swanbourne, Railway bikepath to the city, through the back streets to East Perth and home.
Didn't look at the bike computer, which had magically started working again, otherwise I would have done a bit around the local streets to make sure I cracked the 100.

am: Another proper run. This time with GPS watch to see how fast I'm going. I didn't want to know up till now - was more concerned about simply being able to run. Today's run was faster than I expected, which was pleasing because it actually felt horribly slow :-)
Run was good. a little bit of stiffness in the right hamstrings, but nothing to worry about I think. Will see how I pull up. At this stage I'm looking at doing this run a couple more times and then, if there's no hamstring issues, gradually increasing the distance.
