Orienteering race 1:48:59 [4] 10.6 km (10:17 / km) +585m 8:03 / km

am: Orienteering event at Beraking Brook. Dreadful area. I'd be quite content never to run there again.
Navigated OK for most of the course and, apart from 1 route choice blunder where I planned to go out to the track from 6 to 8 and realised halfway that I hadn't considered 7, didn't really lose too much time anywhere. Just got so tired from slogging and stumbling and tripping through absolute crap. The map was hard to understand in places too. Good training I suppose :-)

Running 10:00 [2] 1.5 km (6:40 / km)

Run to the start plus a 6 min jog afterwards.

am: Easy run. Nothing too hard. I'm thinking about racing tomorrow at Beraking Brook (either that or running at South Ledge)

am: Through Shenton and around Kings Pk. Same as yesterday but with a small detour around an area where they were spraying weeds (i.e. randomly splashing chemicals around). Threw in a few tempo efforts in the second half - just for the hell of it.
Now that the quads and adductors have settled down the niggling problem in the right glute med. and glute min. has returned :-(

am: The old loop through Shenton and around Kings Pk. Felt a bit more motivated today (but still quite happy to finish it :-) )

pm: Usual gym. At SportsMed Subi. Quads and adductors are gradually improving. Had no problems with them on any of the exercises.

am: Half-arsed run in Kings Pk. Was supposed to be longer but after about 1k I decided that I couldn't be bothered so I just went through the motions long enough to clock up 40min. Distance approx.

pm: Usual core and postural stuff. I might have to think about increasing the reps for some of these - they're getting easier all the time.

am: 10k loop through Shenton and around Kings Pk. A bit faster than usual today. Right butt still a bit tight, but better than yesterday.
