Running 2:00:09 [3] 23.1 km (5:12 / km)

am: Long run out to Bold park and return, with a loop around the local school to bring it up to 2hrs. Ran a bit faster than the last time so I had to make the extra loop a few hundred metres longer. Ran Ok today and even felt like I was moving smoothly at times. The soreness from last weekend has finally faded away. The left ankle was pretty much Ok apart from a couple jabs in the 2nd half of the run.

Running 31:49 [3] 6.7 km (4:45 / km)

am: Fairly easy run in Kings Pk with a soild 1k or so towards the end.

Gym 56:00 [2]
weight:77.5kg

md: Usual stuff - usual venue

Friday Feb 20, 2009 #

Running 52:17 [3] 10.8 km (4:50 / km)

am: Through Shenton and around Kings Pk. Past the completely pointless council works on the footpath along Rosalie Park and then the equally pointless roadworks at the top of Poole Ave. In both cases it seems like a perfectly serviceable public facility is being ripped up and replaced for no good reason. Well, Ok, the footpath along Rosalie park was starting to look a little bit grubby and the new path is just so clean and bright looking. Well worth it some would say I suppose.
Still sore, but improved now to the point where it's not really hampering me.

Running 41:48 [3] 8.5 km (4:55 / km)

am: Through Shenton and around Kings Pk. Still stiff and sore but showing signs of improvement (finally). Just about the only muscles that aren't sore are my old nemesis, the hamstrings :-)

Gym 54:00 [2]
weight:77.4kg

pm: Usual gym. Sportsmed Subi. One of those days (which are becoming all too frequent now) when it was all a bit a of a chore. Good to get it done :-)

Wednesday Feb 18, 2009 #

Running 39:34 [3] 7.9 km (5:01 / km)

am: Through Shenton and around Kings Pk. Stiff and sore again this morning. Got going but it was a chore.

Core stability 41:00 [1]

pm: Usual core and postural stuff

Tuesday Feb 17, 2009 #

Running 31:46 [3] 6.3 km (5:03 / km)

am: Recovery run in Kings Pk. Very stiff and sore at first. Calves and feet are the worst, followed by adductors and quads. Got going in the last half and wasn't moving too badly.

Gym 54:00 [2]
weight:77.5kg

pm: Usual shit. At SportsMed Subi. Single-leg squats and leg press were hard work.

Monday Feb 16, 2009 #

Spinning 35:00 [2]

pm: Too sore to run but no problem turning the pedals.
