Cycling 2:28:41 [3] 64.7 km (2:18 / km)
(sick)

am: Out to Caversham and return. Same as last Sunday, but it felt a lot harder today. Partly because of the cold I suspect, but also due in part to the wind, which was quite strong at times on the return leg. Struggled along Riverside Dr and Mounts Bay Rd and almost came to a standstill at one point near the Brewery when I got hit by a strong gust. Down to 22kph at that point and never got back above 30 after that. Totally stuffed afterwards.

Cycling 54:44 [3] 23.8 km (2:18 / km)
(sick)

am: Wembley Downs ride. Getting faster on this one. Will have to search out a convenient extension to get it back up to 60 min.
The cold that was threatening to develop in the last few days finally arrived. Didn't seem to affect my cycling.

Friday Aug 20, 2010 #

Walk/jog 29:00 [1]

am: Rosalie Pk again.
8 min walk, 20 min run, 1 min walk.

Not quite as good as last time. The right groin tightened up a bit more at the end. Left foot OK.

The left foot has been OK for a few weeks now and seems to handle the banks and potholes pretty well. The limiting factor is still the right groin.

Gym 30:00 [2]

pm: At SportsMed Subi

Monday Aug 16, 2010 #

Walk/jog 31:00 [1]

pm: Rosalie Pk again. 9 min walking, 20 min run, 2 min walk. Left foot is pretty good now, the limiting factor is the right hip/groin. It wasn't too bad today and seems to be gradually improving.
Spotted: two characters sitting on a park bench in a quiet corner of the park having a long chat. Looked very much like a prominent (former) Perth businessman, who's been in the news a bit lately, and a well-known Perth identity. Perhaps they were discussing the upcoming wildflower exhibition in Kings Pk.
