am: Long ride out to Guildford and return. Originally planned to make it a bit longer, but had to cut it short to be back home in time to meet a tradesman for a quote on some plastering work. Pity. I had one of those rare days where I actually felt strong and was able to recover quickly after each effort. Would have liked to have ridden for longer.
Started off into a weak easterly headwind and by the time I got to Guildford it had swung around to the south and become quite gusty. As a result, ended up riding into a headwind for much of the way home as well. Wind was pretty strong along Mounts Bay and I couldn't quite break the 30kph mark. Still scored my fastest ever ride though :-)

am: Wembley Downs ride. Another magic morning! It's a pity that it can't stay like this through summer.

Lacking a little bit of punch on the hills this morning so I might have an easy day tomorrow.

I'll definitely have to look at ways to lengthen this ride. It started out at 60+ min and it's now a bit on the short side. Just have to find a convenient, traffic-free route north of Hale Rd. hmm.

pm: SportsMed Subi. Managed a full gym session for the first time since my hernia op ... yay! Also back to using my normal weights :-) Was a bit hard towards the end, but not too bad considering.
Weight is coming down:-) Don't know where I'm losing it ... certainly not from my gut.

am: Rosalie Pk again, with 6 min walk, 23 min run. All good, no problems. Felt like I was striding out more smoothly than I have done at any stage since my toe op. Might still be able to master this running caper :-)

am: Similar ride to yesterday - down to UWA, around the river to Dalkeith and then through the streets a bit before looping around and heading home. Thought it would be a 42-43 min ride, so either I miscalculated the distance or I'm riding too fast.

pm: At SportsMed Subi. Close to a normal session this time. Had to be a bit careful on the bench press and lat pulldown, but next time I should be able to do just everything.
Weight is coming down nicely:-)

am: At Rosalie Pk. 6 min walk, 22 min run. Everything was OK (left foot, right groin) so I can probably start building up my training again. Probably only 2 days a week at first, then 3 days if all is OK after the first few weeks.
