Orienteering race 42:40 [5] **** 8 km (5:20 / km)
shoes: Brooks Vapor
Lincoln City Race. Felt a bit of a slog & my O was rough (ie not smooth). Lucky to get 2nd, miles down on Jenny, unsuprisingly lost mostly after #12 when i'd gone from shite to utter shite. On the plus side, Lincoln was pretty & fun and I won a nice cap & a t-shirt which I gave to Em.

Minimal/ virtually non existent warm up/down which probably contributed to lack of focus :) Was unbelievably knackered afterwards, maybe I should do some training. Regretting entering a 10k in 3 weeks time.. :(

Saturday Sep 1

Steady run round an old route, spinney hill, wilford & the river. As usual horrified at new developments & demolitions in my home neighbourhood. A few sharp tummy pains before, during & after.

Warm down jog round the block

Friday Aug 31

Cycle to Scotstoun (15') & to airport via clyde tunnel (45').
Running 3:12 [2] 0.6 km (5:20 / km)

Track session aborted early warm up due to evil viscous stomach(?) pains, may have given up a little too easily. Pains started early afternoon and magnified massively on starting jogging, so 3 mins wasn't bad going.

Thursday Aug 30

Cycle to Paisley & back via route 7, new dirt monkey mudguards (birthday pressie from Rob) nearly killed twice (knackered brake blocks).

Was considering going for a run in the Kilpatricks but a full day pretending to do work was too exhausting.

Monday Aug 27

Jog at Nicoba forest. Bit tired after WOC party, walked back to Metro as left knee was v. sore (long overdue retiral of DS trainers).
