Sunday Feb 11

Run 1:20:00 [3]
6.15am run start. Claremont / Cott / Mosman Park. Moderate paced longer run with Ron, Tim, Dan Hewitt. Glutes v sore from the start and didn't improve, very hard to lift legs.
Swim 50:00 [3]3 km (16:40 / km)
Swim - Cottesloe 8am sharky type weather to start. Pylon to Grant St to Cott groyne to pylon. Final ocean swim with Rotto team. Wore a wettie as not to cramp from the run, or hopefully not. Swam okay, put in some hard efforts at times.

Run (Pram) 1:07:00 [2]
Bibra Lake South Lake area. Pram-push run through streets. 20mins more than I planned to run. Harder efforts up hills, didn't over extend on flats this time. Very good overall body type run, can recommend to anyone that can do it, great weightloss workout I'd say as well. As works arms and legs especially uphills and into the wind. Not as easy as it may sound or look, if you haven't done it.

Saturday Feb 10

MTB Ride 1:33:38 [3]29 km (3:14 / km)
Later start to the day, setting off at 9.15am. Warm up via Subiaco / Shenton Park to Kings Park. All off-road ride on sand, dirt, grass tracks in Kings Park. Sand tracks quite boggy at the moment. Rode the Wally Cairns track in reverse without touching down down! Unfortunately most of the efforts, like most these days gets transferred straight to my lower back, instead of my legs. Very stiff and painful at times. (eh JT!) Nice to ride in cooler weather, for once, though.
Paint Ball 1:30:00 [2]
Paintball with my nephew for his birthday, family and friends. Hot hard work running around in overalls, full face mask in humid weather. Good fun as well.
Metro Orienteering race 24:08 [5]
Ran as hard as I could, but again poor route selection and getting an extra control didn't help. Came 2nd to the wily Ken Post. Well done Ken! Good hard hit out though and had to out sprint some young whipper from bridge to finish, which killed my glutes, hammies and so.. Didn't like the event, too many people that I saw ran in the walking section and it wasn't policed like they said it was going to be. A bit one dimensional.

Friday Feb 9

Run 50:00 [3]
Moderate, not very enthusiastic run in the evening around Mt Hawthorn/Lake Monger area just to do something really

Thursday Feb 8

Run 40:00 [3]
Karrinyup hills - Star Swamp 40min run at lunchtime at work (I only get 30mins). Ran first 12mins as hard as I could and rest at a steady pace.
MTB Ride 1:30:00 [3]
Mt Hawthorn - Mt Henry return, easy to Narrows and hard efforts hanging onto the backs of road cyclists. Kwinana Fwy to Mt Henry. Sitting on 41km behind two roadies Canning Bridge to Mt Henry, max efforts and speed for me though, that speed. Had to keep very close to back wheels too stay on.Out sprinted them at the end.Dont roadies love that.
