Sunday Mar 4

Road bike warm up/down 20:00 [2]
8.15amWarm up before bike race.
Road bike race 48:00 [4]28 km (1:43 / km)
9.30am 1st Crit race or bike race for a few years.Strong easterly wind blowing towards the finish line.Rockingham pancake flat 2k circuit.Race 45mins +1lap.5sprint point races during the 45mins +the finish sprint.Raced ok but just behind the place getters each time but at least managed to stay in the race as thought i was going to get dropped 1st lap with a very quick start.Eoin managed to win one of the sprints,did a great job at it too by leading into the wind then pulling away with the wind.Had a perfect sit right behind him but he managed to jump me and the rest.Overall Eoin came 5th and earned $30,me zip.Av for the race around 35k with a top speed of 58k.State age group champs next week.

5.10pm Triggs beach soft sand run.19mins south and 21mins back.Managed to rip my big toe pad on something in the sand and of course it was at the 19min mark so limped back.

Saturday Mar 3

9.30am pram run with Aiden in the pram and Pauline.Started at UWA carpark then did a map run through UWA campus for 19mins then ran along foreshore into Nedlands and back.

Friday Mar 2

Run 30:00 [2]
4.55 Map reading run through UWA campus on two different scale maps 1:3000 and 1:5000.Taking a while to get the hang of these through buildings maps.Lot more practice needed.
Run race 31:50 [4]8.7 km (3:40 / km) vdot: 57.2
5.30pm Friday const run race starting at UWA carpark and through and around parts of Kings Park finishing back at UWA carpark.Over 20yr old race.Raced near max for most of the run.Scott Brown past me a couple of k in like i was standing still but didnt get that far ahead really.Raced Dan for 2nd after that and managed to hold him easy enough.19 runners today.Pulled up pretty stiff.

10min warm down run for about the 2nd time in my life,may try stretching next.

Thursday Mar 1

12.20 Good paced run from work to carine open space and around.Overcast and spits of rain now and then.Took old metro O map of area along to train with and did control spotting.Seems to take your mind of the running part and makes it a bit more fun plus ill hopefully improve more for next year.

4.30pm Steady paced pram run with son Adien in the pram and Pauline running as well with the dog Coops.Ran from South Lake to around part of Bibra lake and return.Was very windy and copped a few spots of precipitation.

10.00pm Night time ride at a moderate pace from Mt Hawthorn to narrows then out to Nedlands yacht club and return.Perfect out part from some wind near the river.Av 23.7

Wednesday Feb 28

Run 45:11 [3]
12.20pm run from work.Cool,overcast and rain at last for a run.1st 11mins hard then steady after that appart from last 10mins when had to fang it back via streets the quickiest way as misjudged time and distance.Ran Karrinyup streets to Karrinyup shopping center then across to Triggs bush land tracks and down to beach.Some good steep tracks in there.Bit sluggish up some.

5.00pm Short sharp mtb ride to Claremont via city West and train line bike path and roads and return.Strong n/w wind.Rode pretty hard today as only had an hour to spare.Av 26.1

Tuesday Feb 27

12.20pm Run from work to Triggs beach then soft sand run to Scarborough and return.Was so tiired from yesterdays hash run that i would of made Cliff Young look like Carl Lewis runnig today.Just ran a slow steady pace and was just happy to finish.Glutes and all lower body very sore and stiff.Glad i did run though when i really didnt want to.Cant always run fresh.

6.15pm Good consistant stroke paddle from East Perth to Ascot waters and return.Perfect conditions out.

Monday Feb 26

5.oopm ride from Mt Hawthorn to Perry lakes and around Bold Park tracks as a warm up before the Hash run at 6.oopm.Av 20.5
Run 1:16:25 [4]
6.oopm 2nd hash run that i have done.Ran around City beach,Bold park area.One of the hardest longs runs ive done for ages.Pushed as hard as i could most of the way and was completely worn out by the end.Was pretty hot as well.Still had to ride home.

8.30pm ride home from hash run from Perry lakes.Rode pretty much as hard as i could but just went know were fast.Even found the shortest possible route back as to not ride a metre more than i had to.Was stuffed from hash run.Av 21.9
