Custis 12K (yes I know 12K is 7.45 miles - it was a short course), W&OD and Custis Trails - paved, somewhat hilly. Race run at moderate training pace due to achilles tendinitis on right side. Didn't have time to warm up, so started *very* slow (5:53 for first half mile). Leg was feeling fine at the end, so I kicked it up the last half mile, running it at a 5:53 pace.
