Teering race (Peterdine) 21:40 [5] *** 3.8 km (5:42 / km) +110m 4:59 / km
spiked:5/8c shoes: Twister

Relays. Direct 3.2km. Blew no. 1 by 1 minute - leading and got to the edge of the circle on the right line of rocks - but turned right not left. Took me a while to relocate as I tried to place a very prominent gully without success. Bad direction to 2 cost me 30 seconds. Now back in the lead of this leg from Graham - tried to get a break on 4 to 5 but missed 5 badly to the left. Stopped and waited to see Graham come over the ridge and get it. Now had to close a 100m gap - which I closed down over the next two legs. Got in and out of 7 better than Graham so changed over first on the leg for 3rd overall.

Twisted R ankle badly in finish chute - hay spread over mud on bare rock on a slope that we had to do a turn on.

Teering (Peterdine) 23:00 [5] *** 3.6 km (6:23 / km) +110m 5:33 / km
spiked:6/7c (injured) shoes: Twister

Relay 3rd leg. R ankle not happy and a few severe twinges. Hopefully not too much damage: no swelling but the usual bruise has come up in an arc below the heel.
Was running towards the wrong bare rock attackpoint when Fletch came across my path at 80 degrees. Had another look and decided he was right. Hung on downhill but couldn't climb the other side of the creek. Lost a minute at 4 when I was forced downhill by some rocks (seem to have written that before last year) otherwise OK.

Got flu shot (last years, not swine flu).
