Larapinta. Middle Distance. 12km/220m. Rode pretty well and didn't lose any time at controls. Major mistake was missing the street option at 9 (-2 minutes); I'm blaming the map refold I had to do at 8 - didn't take the extra time to really look at 8-9 . Should have refolded earlier to get a look at it. Missed the first track into 1 (-50secs) and the right track to 3 (-20 secs). Not the right route choice to 6 - went for the dodgy track but had to walk it (-30 secs). Good to 7 and 8 and reasonable finish. 4th, 3 minutes down.

Lane Cove NP, one lap. Given the month off and the back injury before that and the smashed forks before that I figure I might as well try and get the legs used to pushing pedals. Ambition for the weekend - not to fall off on the rocks.

Clarence St - Home. New tyres (Bontrager XR1 - $49), back brake, bottom bracket (Shimano, $39) and rear hub. Goes well, maybe I'll keep the tyre pressure at 70 psi :) However, the loud groaning sound when freewheeling is still there.

Roseville-Hornsby. Lots of Garmin issues: waited 5 minutes but it kept losing satellites and starting "Locate" again,so gave up and used phone instead. But that didn't work that well either. Very cold again.
