Arthursleigh, Long, M60, 5th. A carbon copy of last year - open spur gully where I ran down the wrong spur at the end of a long leg and lost 10 minutes. I really should have given up at that point, but dug deep to salvage what I could - to no avail as Mel got them all OK and won in 51.

Appin, Middle Distance, M60, 1st. Lucky to get away with this after losing 5 minutes at the last hard control in the rocks. Came in to the line of rocks unsure, and turned the wrong way. Also mis-read the control descriptions and was looking for a 2m boulder, not two 3.5m ones.
Ran pretty well, still not fluently. Aware of hammy but not restricted at all.
Lost 8 minutes of GPS time as the watch kept getting turned off.
Came from Sydney and got a lift from Campbelltown, where, to avoid damage to the escalators, they have painted 4 footprints on each step indicating to people to stand still and not attempt to walk up or down.

Woke up at 3am with a sore throat. Didn't affect the weekend's running but pretty lethargic by Sunday night with sinus drip, voice croaky, minor phlegm on chest.

Stopped in Lane Cove NP when an echidna started to cross the road on the bridge. Tried to shoo it off, it hid and then *poof* it disappeared and I couldn't find it again.
