O-France Day 5, Risoul. Chasing Start - 10th fastest today, passed 13 people but only up 6 places overall to 40th. Walking the hills, and tenderfooting down. Chairlift was 10minutes slower than predicted and ran to the start -missed it by about 20m seconds (started GPS late).

O-France Day 3 at Col de Vars. Hero to Zero, SI got flipped off my finger as I saw #12. Gave up looking after 41 minutes (!), finished (no time recorded at the finish), had lunch, brought Aoife and Nea back to look for it. Aoife found it after about 10 seconds.

O-France Day 2, Vars. Course M60 3.3km/150m. Ok, so now it’s serious. Tough, steep middle distance and I had to walk most of the hills - many more than advertised 150m, GPS has 213m and counting contours crossed on the map it was 245m. 8th today and a fair way down. No significant nav issues: managed to not climb a single unnecessary contour.
