Isaacs Ridge. H2. 5th. First time for me on this map. Around the ridge anti-clockwise: very hard on my right foot/shoe - the tongue slipped sideways halfway around and was uncomfortable. Took it fairly steady and managed to stay upright the whole time and not hyperextend the L knee. Good navigation until 17 when I ran on top of the cliff, less than 2m from the flag, searched all the other cliffs or cliff like features in the circle and came back - lost 3:10 and 2 places. Frustrating at the time, as I had left John S at 16 and led him into it when I was punching, and also after when I realised I could have had a rare win over Geoff L if I'd been 1m lower down the slope. Also lost 30 secs at 6 with a bad approach, too high. Probably the same at 11 - climbed too high, lost my place on the map and was lucky to see it below me. 14 seemed a bit far along the slope (-20s). To the finish I was looking at my foot placement, so didn't cut the corner (-10). PS longest run since April 2020.

Aranda Snow Gums Mod2. Bamboozled at no. 1 - tried to go around creek/swamp and got thoroughly lost. 2 minutes to relocate. Running OK but hyperextended L knee again just before the last control - walked it out (-20secs).
