NavDash at UWA. Not too much wrong navigationally. Lost some time to #8, but I can't really blame myself for that because I couldn't have known from the map that the path on the east side of the building was on another level than the road leading into it. Small mistakes may have been the wrong route choices to #9 and #13, but the story of the day was that I just wasn't running fast enough. On the long leg to #9 I couldn't breathe anymore and it was a slow struggle all the way from there. Annoying especially on the long legs across the oval. Blamed it on starting too fast, but the slight cold I had may also have had an effect. Had a sore throat for the rest of the day. Fletch was way too fast to beat today anyway, but lost to Ben by 13 seconds and Oscar by just 1 second.

Ride to work around the river. My one and only training ride for the bike hike. First to Fremantle via Hope Rd and Healy Rd, nice new route with not much traffic, although the intersection of Healy Rd, Rockingham Rd and Cockburn Rd is a disaster for cyclists, despite being part of the Perth Bicycle Network. Then slow along the bike paths along the river until Mosman Park and through Peppermint Grove and Dalkeith to the narrows. Hadn't been out that way for a long time. Wind picked up during the ride and made the last few kms a little tougher.

Ride to work. Not much wind this morning, but just didn't have a lot of strength to go faster. Quads were a bit stiff.
