Orienteering race (bush) 1:27:49 [4] 9.88 km (8:53 / km) +293m 7:44 / km
27c shoes: Mudclaw 333

H2 at Malmalling (there was no H1). For the third time in a row I messed up the first control. It was so bad this time I got completely disorientated and had to go back to the triangle to start again. Will never know what I did exactly, because I turned the GPS on late too. Quite a few minutes lost on #14 as well, where I apparently just ran past it and then couldn't find anything to relocate on. Some time loss at #17 due to poor concentration in the first part of the leg. Other than that I was quite happy with the run. Had more fun than at Lover's Lane. My mood did turn for the worse a bit when I got back and found out by how much several other people had beaten me.

Still can't decide what category to sign up for for the state champs. Doing M21 feels much too pretentious, given how poorly I've been navigating lately. Doing M35 feels too defeatist. The only honourable option seems to be to not go at all...

Running (interval) 7:55 [4] 1.76 km (4:29 / km)
shoes: Brooks Beast 16

Had only little time for a run, so I decided to thrash myself quickly with some 800 m intervals. However, my stomach was feeling terrible, so I gave up partway into the second leg.
