Orienteering race (NavDash) 18:36 [5] 3.53 km (5:17 / km) +26m 5:05 / km
23c shoes: Brooks Beast 18

NavDash at John XXIII College. One of my poorest NavDash runs in quite a while. Forgot to bring my control description holder, so just ran to the circle hoping to see a flag each time. That was not a good strategy on this course. Lost a bit of time in the double storey area around #5 and #6, but really messed it up at #8 and especially #10. The control was hidden in a little corner, but I didn't see it where I was expecting it and went up two flights of stairs to check out whether it was at the top. Rain started pouring down in the second half of my run and some corners got very slippery, so I was happy to have run the first part of the course in the dry.

Orienteering 25:31 [2] 1.82 km (14:03 / km) +16m 13:29 / km
shoes: Brooks Beast 18

Easy course with R. Some legs were quite tricky, and R wasn't patient enough to check the map properly so ran in the wrong direction quite a few times.

Running 23:41 [4] 4.91 km (4:49 / km) +6m 4:48 / km
shoes: Brooks Beast 18

Work has been so busy I haven't been able to fit in any training even on Tuesday or Thursday nights lately, but I happened to wake up early today so took the chance to go for a little run. Did three tempo efforts around the lake. Judging from how they felt, it seems I'm currently not capable of running a sub-20 5 km.
