Running 1:19:21 [3] 12.05 km (6:35 / km) +165m 6:10 / km
shoes: Brooks Beast 19

Long run through Kings Park and UWA. I had an hour and a half to kill in the city, so this seemed like a good idea. However, it was a bit tough on the legs since it was the morning after a metrO run and I haven't done any long runs recently. Just made sure to take it very slowly. Enjoyed the scenery.

Orienteering race (metrO series) 37:02 [5] 7.81 km (4:45 / km) +130m 4:23 / km
20c shoes: Brooks Beast 19

MetrO series at Trigg. Arrived quite late but spotted tRicky, Andries, Hadrien and Simon at the start, so I figured I better not mess up my route choice on this one. But of course that's exactly what I did. Started off towards the southeast, but really struggled to find a good route. Kept tossing up between either going through or avoiding Trigg bushland in the west of the map. Ended up avoiding it, going to #4 after #1, when I realised I had planned a route that went through #4 twice! Quickly had to rethink the rest of the course and ended up with a pretty terrible route, although it could have been worse. Physically I also wasn't feeling well today. Very surprised to still win, thanks to tRicky doing the medium, and thanks to Craig being the setter, as he would also probably have beaten me today.

Woke up feeling stiff and tired and the others were still asleep, so I went for a run.
