Orienteering 1:15:09 [4]10.22 km (7:21 / km) +370m 6:14 / km
shoes: Adidas Swoop 2
Manitoba Champs - Long, Brandon Hills. Good race, some small mistakes, total lost time 3-4 minutes. A bit slow on the hills at the end but I kept moving fine after them, so that's okay. 2nd place, 8 minutes behind MrPither, and 1 minute ahead of dkonotopetz.
Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]3.5 km (5:43 / km)
shoes: Adidas Swoop 2

Long - Course 8 - Splits

Saturday Sep 23

Event: Manitoba Orienteering Championships

Orienteering 59:28 [4]5.2 km (11:26 / km) +160m 9:55 / km
shoes: Adidas Swoop 2
Manitoba Champs - Medium, Brandon Hills. Not too bad aside aside from #4, but I lost almost 20 minutes there. Can't get careless when you know the map is bad. Got third place, 17 minutes behind MrPither and 1.5 behind Gouger.
Orienteering 12:07 [4]2.5 km (4:51 / km)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D (ret.)
Manitoba Champs - Sprint, Queen Elizabeth Park. Overran #4, about 1 min lost there, navigation otherwise okay. Also lost some time punching my map at the first 5 controls when you just had to touch the flag (missed that part of the pre-race instructions). 4th place -- 2:25 behind MrPither, 1:19 behind Damian, and 0:52 back of dkonotopetz.
Running warm up/down 27:00 [2]4.7 km (5:45 / km)
shoes: Adidas Swoop 2
Warm up/down for the medium and collecting controls 9-13 after the sprint.

Medium - Course 8 - Splits

Sprint - Splits

Friday Sep 22

Running 35:00 [2]6.5 km (5:23 / km)
shoes: Skechers Endorphin
Slow run around the park.

Thursday Sep 21

Cycling 15:00 [1]5.2 km (2:53 / km)
Slow ride around the park. Only counting some faster (or less slow) sections as training. Out for 37:30, 11 km total.

Wednesday Sep 20

Running intervals 20:08 [4]5.55 km (3:38 / km)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D (ret.)
6 × ~925 m, along a section of winding trail in the park. Times/rest: 3:22.9 (1:53) 3:18.9 (1:53) 3:19.1 (1:57) 3:21.6 (1:53) 3:26.3 (2:05) 3:19.0; average 3:21.3 and 1:56 rest. Good effort, nice to see some consistent times (though the 5th one was a bit slow) and be faster than I was on July 25th.
Running warm up/down 36:00 [2]6.25 km (5:46 / km)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D (ret.)
Orienteering 10:00 [1]1 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Skechers Endorphin
Setting out controls at La Barriere. I'll count a bit of it as orienteering. Mostly just running, and spending too much time deciding where exactly to hang the controls.
Running 40:00 [3]8.5 km (4:42 / km)
shoes: Skechers Endorphin
Approximate time spent running while setting out the controls and picking some up.

Tuesday Sep 19

Running 31:25 [3]6.1 km (5:09 / km) +100m 4:46 / km
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D (ret.)
Around the park, then up and down the hill 8 times.
Running 41:00 [2]7.7 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D (ret.)
To/from the park.
