| Selection Race at Yellow Quill. Quite good up to #9, having just lost some time on #2 (0:30 due to hestitation, poor route choice and being unlucky) and #8 (ran too far south, but recovered well and only lost about 1:00). Then made a stupid parallel error after crossing the trail on the way to #10. Came up on the hill SE of the control, and wasn't able to figure out where I was until I got lucky and spotted the vehicles at the end of parking lot. Didn't lose a whole lot of time there (under 2:00), but I did a lot of bad orienteering. |

| Training afterwards, went to most of the controls that were out there. Reran the legs that I had made mistakes on to see what exactly I had done wrong (maybe this is something I should do more often?) and how fast I could do the leg if I hadn't made any mistakes. |

| 3 × ~290 m, 2 × ~925 m, 3 × ~290 m, on trails in the park. Times: 59.3, 56.4, 58.1, 3:21.9, 3:23.3, 60.0, 62.1, 55.7. Took about equal rest after the 290s, and half after the 925s. Can't imagine I'm in good shape at the moment, so I'm happy with my times, especially for the 925s. |
