Running race 27:34 [3] 5.0 km (5:31 / km)
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Lower Hutt Parkrun. Cooler morning than we've been having lately, light southerly, planned a moderate effort prob 3.5. Felt quite easy (almost conversational) pace. Splits 5:41, 5:35, 5:29, 5:30, 5:19

Running 31:20 [3] 4.0 km (7:50 / km) +140m 6:40 / km
shoes: Vasque Mindbender

Home block. Gray day, light southerly, has been rain. Watch took forever to get satellites so splits prob useless but little value on an easy run. (Anyway what it said was 8:24, 6:22, 8:33, 8:01, plausible.) Turned out to be low on battery. Tried for high cadence but only managed 161. Suppose that on a slow run that represents more steps and hence shorter steps:-))

Orienteering race 26:44 [4] 3.3 km (8:06 / km)
shoes: Jalas Black FLX #2

Summer Sprint at St Pats Silverstream. May have missed a couple of better route choices on the farmland but happy with running effort. Was given "mp" for an SI unit which blinked, beeped softly, and I remarked to a bystander "that was a quiet one". It worked for other people. More evidence that the system can misbehave. That dist was prob beeline.

Orienteering 20:25 [3] 2.0 km (10:13 / km)
shoes: Jalas Black FLX #2

Short course as a warm-down. Couple of interruptions - met ex-member Herb Christophers walking his dog - and talked to some college kids who were lost.

Running 26:59 [4] 4.0 km (6:45 / km) +140m 5:44 / km
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Home block. Cooler this evg so pushed it a bit. Splits 7:14, 5:22, 7:14, 6:35, 0:32 (.07km). Strange, the 1st 3 splits were pretty much as usual (10-20s over best of 18 May 17) but last was 30s over plus 32sec for remaining .07km. Split bdies cud mean I'm not comparing like with like. Didn't feel I was that slow for the last k.

Biking 13:30 [3] 1.7 km (7:56 / km) +140m 5:37 / km
shoes: Specialised #2

Std downtown excursion. May not have shown in the time but the temperature made the home climb pretty tough.

Orienteering 30:02 [2] 2.65 km (11:20 / km)
shoes: Jalas Black FLX #2

McCurdy's Castle. Dist measured as run. Nice course designed by U-Max participants, with slow bush, blackberry maze, riverbed, wading and fast native. Warm sunny day. Good turnout with 9 peeps.
