Saturday Feb 16 #

Running race 26:46 [4] 5.0 km (5:21 / km)
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Lower Hutt Parkrun. Slight southerly got up in the 2nd km so pretty good conditions for the return. Splits 5:32, 5:29, 5:27, 5:16, 5:02. Almost identical run to 2wks ago.

Friday Feb 15 #

Biking 13:30 [3] 1.7 km (7:56 / km) +140m 5:37 / km
shoes: Specialised #2

Std downtown excursion. Warm.

Thursday Feb 14 #

Running 56:26 [3] 7.8 km (7:14 / km) +140m 6:38 / km
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Two bridges without hill tracks. Concentrated on a bit of high stepping which possibly increased cadence too. Felt well within myself at the end, tho the warm weather and copious sweat continue.

Orienteering race 16:32 [2] 2.9 km (5:42 / km)
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Sumer sprint series #1 at Onslow College. A 4-loop thing with 4 small maps on the one sheet. Nice way to avoid clutter. But the scale was seriously wrong. I mean, look at that k-rate!

Wednesday Feb 13 #

Running 32:06 [3] 4.0 km (8:02 / km) +140m 6:50 / km
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Home block. Easy poss 2.75. Felt a little stiff after 90min yesterday or was it being woken up early by the telecom technician. He (the third techie visit in a week to look for the source of a noisy connection) "fixed" it with a temporary above-ground cable, after all three had failed to find the problem underground. I had decided now was the time for a fibre connection and that was why the first techie went away but when ordering it the powers that be decided he shouldn't have closed the call and the copper should be fixed. Had hoped that the fault would put me to the top of the queue for the fibre hookup but its 5 weeks away.

Tuesday Feb 12 #

Biking 14:00 [3] 1.7 km (8:14 / km) +140m 5:50 / km
shoes: Specialised #2

Std downtown excursion. In the 20's but welcome strong breeze.

Running 1:30:22 [3] 10.2 km (8:52 / km) +250m 7:54 / km
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Two bridges via hill tracks and BT. Easy, pause at Hill Rd. Watch low in battery so timing and splits unreliable. Av cadence 152. Time includes 3+1min pauses.

Sunday Feb 10 #

Running 29:39 [4] 4.0 km (7:25 / km) +140m 6:19 / km
shoes: Vasque Grand Traverse

Home block. Effort btwn 3-4 say 3.6. That is, tried reas hard while not busting a gut. Time a bit slow considering. But still quite warm even at 8pm. Splits 7:48, 5:58, 8:22, 7:05, 0:27 (.05km). Splits may be dodgy, they were coming up early.
