Lower Hutt Parkrun. Felt tired and there was a moderate southerly. But result surprisingly good. Effort under 4, praps 3.7. Splits 5:40, 5:31, 5:23, 5:30, 5:03*. Last split by difference as failed to stop watch at finish. Took a slide in the finish shute.

Trying out Sporteering app on Get2Go course. Interrupted by coffee, posting, bike shop visit and collecting revised distance specs. Learned a lot about Sporteering but on a bike, the necessity to do something at every control is a pain; whereas MapRun goes beep and you ride on without stopping.

AW Rogaine at Tawa. Got into trouble in Spicer Forest (missed the warning in the briefing though it didn't cover ALL of the former orienteering map that now has monster thinnings in it. Lost what seemed to be an easy contour track and had to battle out to suburbia thru logging tho this should have been shown as there was a control almost in it.19min over. Didn't do a lot of running -first section was uphill, and after struggling thry crap had no motivation. Headlamp seemed dim but may have been on low.

OY3 at Walda. Pleased with run altho helping with control placing made nav easy. Still tired at end at 12.5 min/km. Dist is beeline, actually 100m+ from map issue to start should be added.
