Berryman Trail with Matt. All the way around. Full race pack.

Started at Brazil Creek Campground. Took longer than I expected. Not because we were going all that slowly, but we stopped fairly frequently. Saw the Sona's and conversed with them for a bit. Talked to a group of scouts; they're getting ready for a trip to Philmont this summer. Stopped at the spring, stopped for a sandwich, etc.

An absolutely beautiful day. Started off cloudy and cool, but sun came out and we enjoyed clear blue skies from about 11AM onward. Temp was probably in the upper 40's. The trails were dry for the most part, but there was still water in all the creeks (numerous crossings) and areas with running water on the trail. Quite a bit of washout damage on the trails. Conditions were quite good considering the 7+ inches of rain that fell in the area only a few days ago.

Cycling was a bit tentative to start but confidence returned as the day went on. Stayed well hydrated, electrolyted, and fueled. No problems with cramps! Very happy about that.

Water, OJ spiked with potassium, a water bottle of yogurt drink, ecaps, calcium and vitamin c.

I've deducted stoppage time from the total....

Another round of ART on the PF this evening. Turns out not to be covered by insurance, but I'm getting charged a co-pay. Have to ask about that at the next visit.

Last nights issue was water. Tonight the satellite tv quit working again. I don't watch much tv, but since I'm paying $60 a month, it should work. The company wanted me to pay to have them come out and fix the problem. Yeah right. Come fix it or come and pick up the equipment. Since I'm such a good customer, they'll fix it this time for free. However, there's a computer problem and they'll have to charge me the fix-it fee and I'll have to call back to get it deducted....

Tuesday Mar 18

Note
slept:5.0 (rest day)
Another rest day.... Took L, B, & W to airport this AM. L & B to Florida. W to Italy for 12 school trip. Got to work about 10:45.

Stopped on way home from work to do some clothes shopping. I've given up on all the old clothes: too big. Bought most of them when I was 30+ lbs heavier.

Home about 19:15. Ate. Watch a few minutes of TV and then noticed a drip....drip....drip. Water coming in between the window casement and the trim above the window. As I'm watching, it starts running out beneath the trim below the window. Spent the next 3 hours trying to figure out where it's coming in and how to prevent. No obvious success at either, but a couple of candidates for the entry point. It's not the window. The ceiling/wall seam above is wet.... Probably the roof adjacent to that wall. I've diverted the water coming from the upper roof. Best I can do for the moment is put some towels down.

It's supposed to rain all night and into tomorrow.

The Meramec at Vally Park is up about 14 feet today to 12.95. Flood is 16. Both my bike routes (and running route) to work could be under water by tomorrow morning.
