I wasn't going to log this, but it was a lot of time on the feet and probably as much exercise as 18 holes of golf... and I logged it as intensity 0, so it doesn't really count for anything.... | ||

| Up at 5:30 AM to get to Burroughs by 6:30 for the garage sale.... Worked until it closed at 1:30.
Home to finish the cake. Pry them out of the pans and slather with dark chocolate icing. Collect up lots of blankets for all the cold campers who didn't bring enough, pack my stuff, and out the door at 4:30. Got to the campsite at about 5:45. Take Laura for a walk so the rest of the group could get ready for the surprise party. L was quite surprised. | ||

| A crazy day.
Went out for a group lunch at noon just as a storm hit: lots of rain; huuuge drops; then hail... got soaked on the way to the car. Left work about 2PM. Headed for Trader Joes to pick up the brownie mix for Laura's surprise party BD cake. Enough for 27 people! Had been planning the party for a couple of weeks. 4 families at the campout this weekend, plus a couple more families who were driving down for the day to be at the party. Got home about 3:15. Loaded up the tent trailer. Left for Onandoga Cave @ about 5:00ish?.?. Ran into a massive thunderstorm. Got to the campground about 6:30ish. Set up the trailer in the still drizzly rain. Finished about 8. Headed back home and got there at 9:30. Started to make the brownie cake: double layer 8x14 of TJ's dark truffle brownie mix, a lb of drk choc chips, and 3 containers of dark choc icing. Where's the butter? Need a stick for each of the 4 boxes. I KNOW there was a lb of butter in the fridge this AM.... back to the grocery store. Finally finished baking the layers at 11:30PM, then had to wait for them to cool. Got to bed about 1AM. | ||

| Home via Marshall. The River Walk Trail is buried with lots of sand and mud. The river is still quite high even though we haven't had much rain in the last week.
Stopped at the park for a restroom break (2:00) and at the top of marshall to stretch (5:00). Not included in total time. Quads are really tight and already sore. 40+ miles in the last 8 days might have been a bit much. Well, that's the last long run prior to the race. One more long ride and then taper city. | ||
