Drivers in Lexington, SC are not especially friendly towards runners. Cut the run short to avoid more narrow roads and traffic.

In general, I had a pretty decent run. Except for the part where I picked up the wrong redline 4/5ths the way to #3 and went to 8 instead. To make matters worse, I blew the approach to 8 and didn't find it. While attempting to relocate, I noticed that 8 != 3. They do look similar in dim light at a quick glance. Once i realized the mistake, I relocated fairly quickly and proceeded to finish the course without incident.

I f'd up just after getting stuck in the mud and nearly losing a shoe. Left hand was totally muddy so the map was in the right. Thumb covered #3 and the redline up to it. 8-9 redline crossed the 2-3 redline right where i got stuck. Saw the 8-9 redline with a beauty of a ridge route and took off running. Went about 500m along the ridge without really even looking at the map.... 8 was about 300m beyond a trail that intersected the ridge. That's when i started reading the map again.

Was happy that I was able to run the whole 2 hours and still feel pretty good at the end. Been a while since I've done that.
