2 Laps at FP + a bowtie from the visitors center in what amounted to another lap.
79F, high humidity. Forecast from weatherbug was 73 @ 5AM.... Seems like a business opportunity here, but I guess there's not that much ROI on ability to forecast accurately 7 hours out. Anyway, those 6 degrees make a big difference. Fortunately, a breeze picked up about 3 miles in. The last mile was in full sun.
Left ankle was squeaking, echos of last weeks flare-up. Otherwise, legs felt ok but I was starting to drag at the end. Poor marks on hydration. HR was a bit high, but figure that was the temp and humidity.
Stopped at car @ 6 miles for stretching, shirt, and pack. Vis center for rr. Time removed from total.
Lots of cross country teams (assumption) in the park this morning, mostly girls, but a couple of groups of boys.
Usually don't listen to anything while running, and wouldn't on the road, but tried out my new wireless headset - 3 Slate Trumpcasts and a Slate Political Gabfest, and an episode of Revisionist History (Malcolm Gladwell).
Arrived home to find that someone had destroyed the front end, drivers side, of bmans car sometime last night. Backed into it at high speed. Hit and run. Surprised nobody heard it. Left lots of pieces of the other car behind. Silver vehicle, right rear damage.
