Central Cortex

Per the forecast, I was expecting sunny and 50*, not 44 and rainy. Rain had stopped by the time I got my running clothes on, but it was still 44 with a cold wind. Had my light vest with me so that was ok, but no gloves. Hands were pretty cold at the end.

ls top, vest, shorts, running hat.

Invisibilia - Batman - blind guy who clicks to 'see'. heard interviews with him before. very interesting.

Life After - ep 4 & 5 - this one has been hard for me to get into. cannot relate to the main character.

Grants to Tesshire with an extra loop at the end.

38 at the start, 45 at the end.

Ls top, vest, 2xu shorts, 2xu socks, running hat knit gloves.

Running with the wind was warm, into the wind was cold.

Barely a long run with a p stop in grants museum and a couple of walking breaks to queue up audio on the phone.

No youngsters and a small group this year so got to sleep late. Go for a run. Stockings at 1030. Big breakfast at 11. Presents 1130. Nap at 1230. Now at 2:30, sampling my present, a Usquaebach 15 yr blended malt whisky, while starting to work on supper. A fine day so far!

Grants to Tesshire

44*, cloudy and wet.

Ls top, vest, 2xu shorts, 2xu socks, running hat, fleece gloves.

Did last minute shopping early. Wanted to go to Tysons but probably wet and slick, FP as plan B, ran out of time. So Grants trail.

Right hip barking again towards the end.

Listened to first episode from Invisibilia (NPR). Quite good. There are 2 seasons available.

Note

Pouring rain and 36*. I think I'll take my chances on an afternoon run.
4 PM

ahr:125 max:139 shoes: Altra Oly Green #2

Took a short nap and a run sounded like a fine idea.

38*, drizzle and rain. At least it wasn't pouring.

Firehouse 4.

Ss top, 2xu shorts, threadbare bike tights, wind shirt, running hat fleece gloves. Pretty comfortable for the most part.

ahr:130 max:152 slept:6.0 shoes: Altra Oly 2.0 orange 1

To bed late but woke up at 5 anyway and decided to go for a run.

Grants to Gravois

35F, 10mph wind, cloudy.

ss top, ls top, vest, 2xu shorts, 2xu socks, fleece gloves, running hat. Little bit warm but that resolved when I turned back into the wind.

Good run. Right prox hammie was barking. Neck/shoulder still stiff from the fall on Tuesday.

Several podcasts. Finish up a RadioLab(?) on decision making and the gamblers fallacy. That one was good. The others were not so memorable.

Longest night of the year is behind us!
