Grants to Gravois

Plenty of ice on the trees and cars in our area but not much on the sidewalks and none on roads or driveway. Grants was clear except for the bridge over 44. And even that had thawed for the return trip.

33F, light breeze.

ls top, ss top, vest, buff on neck, 2xu shorts, running tights, fleece gloves, running hat. 2xu compression socks.

As usual, with wind down-trail, and into on the way back.

hip was feeling the PT from yesterday.

Walked a short steep section.

Legs felt ok.

Weather app led me to believe it was cooler (45F) out and overdressed. It felt well into the 50's. Carried vest and gloves.

Yes. I am a wuss. I did not ride my bike to work today because of the wind. I woke up at 5, heard the wind blowing and went right back to sleep.

Legs feel a little heavy today climbing stairs, but otherwise ok. Plan to take it easy for another few days. Don't want any unhappiness from the achilles bursas.

Right knee was hurting by the time I got home, good I didn't push it any harder.

Slept well. No cramping. That's a happy thing.

Fitness level seems to be about where it was for Tunnel Hill 2015. That's a good place to be, for me, starting a new year and coming off a few weeks of easy training volume.

The achilles bursas will be the part to watch for the next couple weeks. Try to avoid pissing them off like I did after TH this year.

Left ankle a little stiff.
Right knee seems ok.
Right hip needs some work. Will roll it with lax ball.
Not too creaky getting out of bed.

Couch potato most of the day. Napped from 3:45 - 4:30. Seriously hungry all day.
