Umstead Park. Raleigh NC. This route is mostly gravel park road with a very short section of single track, and a short stretch of pavement. Warm (compared to what I’m used to), and humid. Moving pace was probably 1:30 - 2:00/mile faster than the aggregate pace - Lengthyish stop for water/cool down, and less lengthy stop for “emergency tg i’m in the woods” break. Note, there’s a closed bridge on this route. There’s a busy car bridge adjacent with strongly worded signs discouraging pedestrian use…
