Running (Sunday Long Run) 2:00:00 [3] 27.6 km (4:21 / km) +270m 4:09 / km
ahr:132 max:152 slept:8.5 shoes: Nike Structure Triax 9

sunday long run, did usual long run, but did 3x3km loops of Pirkkola instead on just 2. And then an extra 5mins around the streets at the end to make up the 2hrs, felt good on the run, but tired by the end. Enjoyed the run, but fuck it was getting cold by the end, the one plus is any mud out there is now frozen;) Body felt good, left outer calf a bit tight last night, but didnt seem to bother me. Also left knee was fine when running today, no pain, just a little stiff when finished running. Lacking bit in energy at the moment, but only cos trying to lose weight. This was probably the longest run i have done in like 6months, both by time and distance. The more long runs i am doing though, the more used to it i am getting, and the body is coping with it. Looking forward to winter!! well sort of;) Also my running speed seem to be much quicker than i previously did my slow runs at, think has a lot to do with the nice hard trails im running on, and the flatness of helsinki though.

Running (slow recovery run) 1:00:00 [3] 11.6 km (5:10 / km) +120m 4:55 / km
ahr:132 max:157 slept:10.5 shoes: Nike Structure Triax Plus

cruisy recovery run, from home up around the horse paddock, and back past the track, to check the polar foot pod, was 410m for the track, so not too much off. Felt pretty tired, thats why only ran short, felt really dizzy at about the 30mins mark, think just need some more sugar in my diet.

Running (Long Recovery Run) 1:45:00 [3] 23.0 km (4:34 / km) +220m 4:21 / km
ahr:142 max:158 slept:9.0 shoes: Asics Kayano VII

Knee still a tad sore, but i can feel it improving, or at least its not getting worse, and is much better than tuesday. Today was a long recovery run, normal way up to Pirkkola, couple of laps then home. Felt good, little tired the last 15mins, but its always good when the city is in sight ;) Training is defintely working out well around work now, i seem to be getting enough sleep, and feeling really good. First day i felt really cold while running, the hands were freezing, and reckon it was pretty close to freezing, at least with the wind.

Running (Long Tempo Run) 1:40:45 [5] 25.0 km (4:02 / km) +240m 3:51 / km
ahr:163 max:178 slept:7.5 (injured) shoes: Nike Structure Triax 9

Knee still a little sore, but seems to be better when running quicker. So decided to do my normal run today, but at tempo speed. The first 5km was not so quick, but i got quicker and quicker. Was 8.25km to Pirkkola, then two 3km laps of that, then returned. Then an extra 2km just to make up the 100mins and the 25kms. Was probably my most satisfying run i have ever done, in terms of where i am with my fitness is now, and the state of my head at the moment etc etc. for the 23km i was hoping to do under 95mins, but made sure didnt look at my watch, so was pretty happy with 87.45mins.

8.25km - 34.07
3km -10.49
3km - 11.02
8.25km - 31.47
2.5km - 12.59 warmdown

Spinning (Roadie Indoors) 1:00:00 [1]
ahr:110 max:120 slept:10.5 (injured) shoes: Specialized Roadies

wanted to run 100mins, but the knee wasnt gonna manage it, so planned to spin for 100, but even that caused knee pain, not as bad though, but had had about enough after the hour. Heart rate, was very low, find it hard to get up when spinning, unless doing intervals. Is starting to seem ok with work now, only working 3 nights a week, and plan to only train once those days, and twice all the hours. Seeing the winter is coming anyway, the weeknights at the bar are pretty cruisy. And after the occasional roulette flutter lately, im not doing so bad for money;)

Running (Long Run) 1:43:00 [3] 23.2 km (4:26 / km) +205m 4:15 / km
ahr:138 max:176 slept:8.5 (injured) (sick) shoes: Asics Nimbus

Same run as yesterday, did pretty much the same time, but think was running faster today. Had a few stops cos my left knee was quite painful, decided to keep on running cos i was about 8km from home. After about 40mins, the pain got a bit better, not quite sure what it was, think the muscle, not the bump under the knee that i had have bad problems with before. Also my glands up under my chin, always means maybe i getting sick, but think just cos got an ulcer in my mouth, and they seem to come together at the same time. Enjoyed this run, the lit trails in helsinki are brilliant, and nice when it starting to get cold and dark. Wore my polar again, and was happy to see there was at least 200m of climb, although in 23km run it still fuck all.

Running (long run) 1:42:00 [3] 23.2 km (4:24 / km) +205m 4:13 / km
ahr:137 max:171 shoes: Asics Kayano VII

long run, will probably turn into my standard winter run now. From home out to Pirkkola which is about 8km down thru the central park, then 2 laps of the 3km Pirkkola track, and then same way home. Felt good, breathing a bit heavier than normal, not quite sure why. Also some slight pain on top of right knee, dont think anything to be worried about. Have had a few days off with a small cold, and a fucked head. But have internet at home finally, so will keep page updated. Probably flattest long run i have ever done, helsinki isnt exactly got many hills
