Good solid run. Feeling great for the first time since easter!

Tuesday Sep 25

Wind Trainer tempo 37:50 [4]

Wind Trainer warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Orienteering 2:15:00 [2]
Run Round last weeks maps with Greg, Tom and Nick. everyone was on a bit of a go slow day. But it was good to go for a little while and discuss last weeks course. No. 7 which I stuffed up last week was slightly miss aligned. So thats why I popped out on the ridge about 30 metres further left then I should have. But I compounded the error by not reading the map. No seven, isn't so badly mapped but the countour is hidden under the red line and circle.

And no 13 from the sat race was fine. I just sucked.

Running - Off road long 2:00:00 [2]
Nice run talking with Phil Wood. From home. Tired, shows how little long runs I've done recently, but good to do today.

Friday Sep 21

Note
(rest day)
Lazy.

Thursday Sep 20

Running - Road tempo 25:00 [4]
Running - Road warm up/down 10:00 [2]
running out of time and enthusiasm. So just did the key session around the roads around one tree hill.

Wednesday Sep 19

Running - Off road hills 30:00 [4]
3 long hills. Not that fast, just strong.
Running - Off road 30:00 [3]
Usual gimpy run. Felt like I had asthma I puffed so hard jogging along. I always end up walking at the bottom of every steep down hill. It started just before Japan when I first started having trouble with my hips. Will be jogging slowly down a hill then my subconscience will have me stop. My conciece mind seems to be a bit slow and doesn't really do much about it for a little while. It doesn't quite understand why I've stopped but has alot of trouble restarting. Pretty sure its my hips hurting my femur, but its a wierd ache that doesn't really make its presence heard until you think about why the fuck your subconscience doesn't want to run. Doesn't happen in races or anything just training.

Sunday Sep 16

Orienteering race 1:25:00 [4]
Auckland Long champs. A bit more focused today, need more races like that to iron out a few things. Went hard for most of the course and started to pay for it over the last quarter. Bum muscles sore from tennis. Nice to beat Jamie again.

Friday Sep 14

Note

Wednesday Sep 12

Running - Road warm up/down 20:00 [1]
Running - Road tempo (Time trial) 28:58 [4]
New Time trial. South from Potluck carpark, Rimmer Rd,
Start/Finish the second track from gate on right heading south along Inland Rd.
Missed the split to Timu Rd.
10.14, To Mission Coast Rd
4.37, 14.52 Turnaround, Willets Rd.
4.47, 19.39 Back to Mission Coast, Slow Turnaround, (deciding how far to go),
5.20, 25.00 Back to Timu Rd
3.57, 28.58 Back to Finish.

Legs felt sweet. Definatly breathing slowing me down. Was coughing and spitting lots of shit up. Shoulder getting progressively sore throughout the run. Awesome day, feel really positive. Will aim to knock that down to 25 min.

Tuesday Sep 11

Wind Trainer 1:10:00 [3]
Cruised along to see how long I could put up with the wind trainer. Dissapointing that 70 mins is all I could handle. Good training session though.

Monday Sep 10

Note
(rest day)
Was a bit lazy as soon as I got home and stuffed around setting up the wind trainer. Then after dinner I chose sleep instead of training. Smart choice...but wish I'd been more organised earlier in the day.

Sunday Sep 9

Running - Off road 35:00 [2]
National Squad training from Craters of the moon. Most people ended up doing 90 min but I felt like crap. Lack of sleep for two nights, running with a gimpy shoulder, and running first thing in the morning before eating could be why? Who knows but I strugeled through to see if it was all in my head then, went home.

Saturday Sep 8

Running - Off road 1:20:00 [3]
National Squad training Taupo. Plan was to go hard and try and keep up with anyone that was going hard. A bit of hard training with the good people before auckland champs. Big group that started cruisy and sped up as more people dropped off. I wasn't feeling great even at the mid point, so had to work quite hard on the second half. So was happy to complete it, but would have preferred to be able to wind it up at the end, so not quite the session I had planned but a great turnout from the quad and an awesome place to go running.
Running - Off road intervals 14:00 [5]
Squad intervals game. about 50 sec reps. Can't work it out. I was the fastest but Greg stuffed up the scoring.

Friday Sep 7

Note
(rest day)
Ran out of time with work, dinner, and driving to Taupo. bit dissapointed but thats the way it happens sometimes.

Thursday Sep 6

Running - Off road 1:50:00 [2]
Gimping along in the wiataks with dicky shoulder, Greg, Karyn and Tim. Very very enjoyable. A couple of spurts up the road from damn to scenic drive. Tims getting fit, one to watch at Kauri run.

Wednesday Sep 5

Wind Trainer 37:40 [4]
weight:77.5kg
Time trial on the windtrainer. 15km on the level 6 out of 8. 37min. 40. Thats a good low point. Will aim to get it down to 32 before Moa. Felt good and quite enjoyed the tennis, although Nadal lost. Will try and do this timetrial every fortnight.

Wind Trainer warm up/down 23:00 [3]

Tuesday Sep 4

Running - Road 30:00 [3]
Dissapointing.

Agrevaited shoulder at work. didn't feel like running so moped around the house until I got up courage (took some pain killers) to go runnin. Still didn't really enjoy it very much and felt a bit tired from yesterday so didn't even do the anarobic threshold run I wanted to do. Now the shoulder is very sore.

Monday Sep 3

Running - Off road warm up/down 35:00 [3]
Running - Off road intervals 20:00 [3]
1 min intervals with 1 min off.

Sunday Sep 2

Running - Road 1:00:00 [3]
Felt bloody good, and really fired up. Cleared out the synissus good. Running like a bit of a gimp though, with right arm like its in a sling. shoulder not to sore though if I don't do anything stupid like move it.
C • Yeah! 3

Saturday Sep 1

Mountain Biking 1:10:00 [3]
Ride cut short a bit when I was a dick and screwed up a jump at speed and hit a tree with my shoulder. Hard. My best crash ever. Was a little worried I may have broken it, but pretty sure its just bruised the joint and pulled the muscles. bugger.
