Score Slater Rd. bit of a cold thing. Couldn't keep up with thom running wise. Then I took a stink route choice and had to miss one. Thom and Mark got them all easy. Was good.

Good ride out back with Nick and Greg and Jess. I was absolutly shattered. Cramping and just knackered. Was good to push hard again.

Gradual hill reps. Felt like crap actually, didn't really complete the session.

With Greg and Marquita at bike park. A bit of Fartlek really with more resting in the second half cos M. was struggling in dark.

Wednesday May 16

Running - Off road 30:00 [3]
Run with Greg. found a nice bush track up the hill from his place. big Kauri. Greg had a light. it was dark. I didn't. Ran out of time cos I had to get to the poool.
Canoe Polo race 30:00 [1]
First game of canoe polo. We all sucked really cos we didn't know what we were doing....except Stu ofcourse. Good fun though and I can sense I'm gonna be awesome.

Running - Off road race 17:14 [5]
5km Race, Loaded hog. its about 15 seconds short they say. Didn't feel great, and faded at the end. but not a bad start to training.

History: In 2005 I did a 17:31 and a 17:29, the follwoing week. So its a PB!!

Running up Hill with Stu L, and Brent after support crew duties were fafulled.

"Missioning around" as Jamie would say. Trying to find the track that was on the map... it moved but we didn't realise and neither did any of the racers when they tried to finish the course. We bushed crashed in daylight. They got lost at night and blackberry crashed for hours. Poor buggers.

Hobbling down back down the hill in the dark with sore toe and others.

Run around Whakatane in dark. down to waterfront. quite nice.
Running - Off road intervals 10 [5]
10 X 1min flat intervals next to the lights off a hockey turf. Good session, felt satisfied afterwards.

Thursday May 10

Felt pretty useless actually. Still running like a gimp with sore toe, had to run on road cos it was dark and didn;t want to hit toe. but then because I was running so goofy on road I could feel weird things straining. so didn't do much....also I got really tired after 20 minutes. I started off hard hoping to do a Up Tempo run but then just ran out of steam and crawled home.

I feel very unfit but more importantly I haven't been motivated at all since Nationals. I'm even thinking about training up for a multisport race to get me fired up again.

Bit of a jog round Tupare and new farm with Greg F. Toe sore but running ok all be it a bit gimpy.

Score event "Shank's Pony". Sore toe, bad navigation. Well set course had me scratching my head on route choice.

Hurt L little toe racing Tim on the bouncy castle. worst of all he beat me.

Running around moro madness course, putting out checkpoints etc. not very good training but ran out of time and motivation.

Running - Off road intervals 20:00 [4]
10 x 200m slight up hills then turn round and stride out back 200m slight down hill. Except only did 6 down because it started to get dark. 30? sec recovery.

Threshold run along the road. Started to feel better at end. but started un motivated and uncoordinated. Hence the small warm up and warm down.
