Orienteering race (Road,) 1:20:00 [4]
Summer series. Domain and Remuera Streets. Remers was a bit like an adventure race trek. Dodgy map and a bit of a mission. But was quite cool with some bush tracks I've never done before.

Mark smashed me 10 min and Nick smashed me too. Enjoyed racing again and was happy with how I was running considering.

Damn Bike broke on me.
Running - Road hills 12:00 [4]
Hill reps up Queenstown rd. Felt so slow and weak. Could be the 3 pies I atet for lunch and dinner. Perhaps not meating all my dietry needs.

Warm up/warm down/between intervals. Didn't find time till 9:30pm after my bike broke down in woodhill and had to attend to sick animals and go watch some dudes dance. So did a quick hill rep session instead of long run which I need to do soon before Kauri run.

Feeling much better, body wanted to run and even wanted to go fast....for about 11 mins and 10 seconds. Then it was a struggle. Not that I was going very fast anyway. Coughing and spluttering everything up so that helps clear things up. Should be back to full training again next week.

Labour Weekend Middle race. Whanawhana. Cool down hill section, otherwise felt like crap and cruised along walking the hills. I think everyone was fucked from the classic the day before because I ended up doing ok. Karl wasn't very impressive though.

Mt Auckland. Rolling hills mainly with one 20 minute slog. Good for the legs. Very happy.

Auckland Sprint champs. Ran ok, got brain fade again after about 9 min, so lost half a minute or so. Probably my level at the moment though. Good to see Bryn getting a victory for his training efforts.

Good solid run after the orienteering. Up Mt Eden in some good solid rain. Met Dave Melrose out training too. Very pleased.

Heat training, except that it was so windy I didn't wear enough. 5 accellerations. Legs feeling amazingly good after yesterdays pounding.

3 Long hills.

Immensly fatigued before during and after run.

2 downhills.

Hard run round the perimeter trails. Feels good to have pain.

Oceania Relays. James and Ross did a perfect job on first and second legs respectively to give us a decent lead overall and 7 min over bushranger. Then I fucked up.

Oceania Classic. Felt like crap the whole way. Also orienteered like crap. Mental toughness wasn't there today.

Oceania Sprint. Ok run except dropped 20 on last control, I think it was cos I wasn't thinking clearly cos I was started to get knacked.
