Mountain Biking 3:10:00 [3]
Mtb from Brent's with BE, Flynn, Stu, Karyn, Fi. Up Direct rd, Frontal Labotomy to start of Native track at top. Awesome track, Split Enz, Pondy, New, Rollercoaster, Chopsuey to water, rude not too, Lion and Exit trial. I was knackered after that. Struggled to keep up with the boys, thank god for the girls. definatly motivated to get stronger cycling after greg kicked my arse two days in a row.

Brents F1, Lake Okeraka with Brent and Stu. Couldn't keep up though. Was challenging conditions for me and this boat. Was doing much better than last time but... got wet. damn.

Negative splits. Awesome. Felt good during the day then just before I went running I started to feel shit. Really really didn't feel like running. Thought it might be in my head so forced a longer than normal warm up...still felt bad. Had a massive physc up session just like a race...still didn't work. And during first five minutes I thought it was all a big mistake as legs felt heavy as. Turns out it was all in my head.

Mountain Biking 1:30:00 [3]
Fun ride with RG&MG Rob with his new bike and me with mine. Went down to the bike park and did a few new tracks and some 3 star tricks. All good. Didn't feel strong enough to beat rob up any hills but still felt like more at the end. Then afterwards legs felt awesome and I was actually feeling amped for the first time in a long time. Head cold still around but slowly improving.

6 times 3 minutes. With a bit of wind and chop thrown in. Started to lose the technique on the last two as I got tired.

Still feeling a bit crap. So flagged the ride today.

Feeling a whole heap better, but left the training till the last minute. Probably because I haven't really got a detailed a plan for my running at the moment as I've just been trying to fit in the other discaplines as much as I can. Learning as I go a bit. Anyway I spent most of the run thinking about events and training for them and generally getting very fired up.

Head cold still around though so I was very happy I'd taken it easy the last few days and just did two 5 min hill efforts. Legs got some spring in there step again...although hammies a bit tight probably from the kayaks.

Woke up feeling even more crap than the last few days. Decided full on hard out rest day was needed. Sleep in the arvo should do the trick.

In the single vs Kan and a mate. Went around the island off Shelly beach for the first time. Got a bit of cross chop too which I need more practise in. Feeling a lot better than yesterday but still getting tired.

Another massive struggle...especially the first 30 minutes. Kane and friend kicked my arse. Thighs not feeling good. Thought I should have recovered after yesterdays day of leisure.

Too knackered to go for a ride, really need the rest day.

Great session with Simon and Tim, Te Henga walkway out and back. Starting to enjoy training and pushing hard, still unfit but its a good sign.

Tired at start but came right after reps after about 40 min. Pretty happy about that its a sign that I'm starting to respond to the training...and I'll be able to do some harder stuff soon.

Bit of a bush crashing mission run with the boys, Mark, Tom, James, Andrew, Ciaran and Jager. Supposed to go up Maraphara stream...but I didn't read the map and ran up the wrong one. bush crashed over. then didn't find the track out of the stream and did some more bush crashing. then even in Piha valley we went off the track and followed a bait station trail back to the top of the hill. Could be just the thing my unfit cardiovascular system needs....well maybe. Feel good now anyway.

Bloody good session at the lake in the Total E. Windy etc just like I imagine the Moa to be. Went quite hard. Feeling good and stuffed afterwards. Once again I was supposed to go for bike ride after but ate dinner and pussed out instead. I have to start training in the morning if I want to get that other dicapline in.

PS I think I started/stopped in the wrong place That last split is just wrong. Should be more like 4 mins. Overall it was probably more like 27 min.

First leg of Free adventure race, Hui.
Slow pace but the heavy pack took it out of me, legs not used to it.

Second leg, 90mins of tramping, doesn't really count as training.
Ride -Road 1:00:00 [3]
Third leg, nice ride up to Upper Hui Damn. You don't realise how much climb you've done until free wheeling the whole way home.

Ran away from the pack on this leg, felt real good, awesome track (Tom Thumb). Managed to win each leg so took out the classification and overall prizes. Got a spottie too! Infact I think I had a clean sweep of all the prizes.

Just managed to get out of bed for a jog, plan was to ride but slept a bit much.

PM ride also got knocked on the head by unforseen last minute outside influences.
