3.44 5.19, 9.03 4.17, 13.20 4.17, 17.38 5.11, 22.50 3.28, 26.18 Negative splits. Awesome. Felt good during the day then just before I went running I started to feel shit. Really really didn't feel like running. Thought it might be in my head so forced a longer than normal warm up...still felt bad. Had a massive physc up session just like a race...still didn't work. And during first five minutes I thought it was all a big mistake as legs felt heavy as. Turns out it was all in my head. previous splits 6 December - 27 ish ...didn't stop and start in the right place so not accurate 12 sept - 28.58 Yeah well I know I'm alot fitter than then, so its good to clarify it. Still the goal to go sub 25 before Waitangi. Fastest previous splits 3.34 ish 5.30 4.25 13.50ish 4.24 5.17 3.57 | ||

| Fun ride with RG&MG Rob with his new bike and me with mine. Went down to the bike park and did a few new tracks and some 3 star tricks. All good. Didn't feel strong enough to beat rob up any hills but still felt like more at the end. Then afterwards legs felt awesome and I was actually feeling amped for the first time in a long time. Head cold still around but slowly improving. | ||

| 6 times 3 minutes. With a bit of wind and chop thrown in. Started to lose the technique on the last two as I got tired. | ||

| Feeling a whole heap better, but left the training till the last minute. Probably because I haven't really got a detailed a plan for my running at the moment as I've just been trying to fit in the other discaplines as much as I can. Learning as I go a bit. Anyway I spent most of the run thinking about events and training for them and generally getting very fired up.
Head cold still around though so I was very happy I'd taken it easy the last few days and just did two 5 min hill efforts. Legs got some spring in there step again...although hammies a bit tight probably from the kayaks. | ||

| Woke up feeling even more crap than the last few days. Decided full on hard out rest day was needed. Sleep in the arvo should do the trick. | ||

| In the single vs Kan and a mate. Went around the island off Shelly beach for the first time. Got a bit of cross chop too which I need more practise in. Feeling a lot better than yesterday but still getting tired. | ||
