Trail Run long (Progressive) 1:15:52 [2] 13.7 km (5:32 / km) +108m 5:20 / km
ahr:139 max:164 rhr:52 slept:6.5 (sick) shoes: Asics Trabuco IX WR
Felt nice, ran the La Prais loop and then went along the lakefront. Tried running heel-toe instead of my normal toe-heal footstrike after reading it could help foot problems...wasn't too bad, but felt like I was just walking fast.
Armchair Orienteering (Map reading) 1:00:00 [0]
While the kids were busy playing in the park, I studied the map, concentrating on catching features and attackpoints.

Thursday Sep 11

Trail Run (recovery) 32:07 [1] 6 km (5:21 / km) +45m 5:10 / km
ahr:141 max:163 rhr:54 slept:7.0 weight:78.1kg shoes: Kalenji Kaptera XT
Legs still feeling some of Tuesday, so another recovery run seemed in order. Felt pretty smooth and comfortable. Pushed a bit at the uphill finish.

Wednesday Sep 10

Biking (Family ride) 47:32 [1] 7.2 km (6:36 / km) +50m 6:23 / km
rhr:54 slept:7.0 weight:78.1kg
Simple ride with J-L and C.
Lots of stops for blackberry eating and playing in the park.

Tuesday Sep 9

Trail Run warm up/down 50:35 8.1 km (6:15 / km) +97m 5:54 / km
ahr:148 max:174 rhr:54 slept:7.0 weight:78.1kg shoes: Kalenji Kaptera XT
8x400x200m. Felt pretty good on these. Last few rest intervals were really slow, but managed to keep the workbouts fairly regular, averaged between 87-93 seconds. Since it was on the trails/roads with hills, turns etc the differences are pretty understandable.

Sunday Sep 7

Trail Run (Recovery , Map reading) 39:00 [1] ** 7 km (5:34 / km) +54m 5:22 / km
ahr:136 max:156 rhr:54 slept:7.0 weight:77kg shoes: Asics Trabuco IX WR
Took the map with me, but didn't really spend much time looking at it. Easy comfortable pace. Finally got my HR monitor to working again.
Biking (Family ride) 49:42 [1] 7.2 km (6:54 / km) +71m 6:35 / km
Jean-Loup is getting much better on his bike. Of course after I told him that chocolate cake would make him run and ride faster, he couldn't wait to try out the hypothosis.
